It's been a goal of mine for a while to record some music and post it on this site. Since I don't use social media, it's rather awkward when I meet someone and tell them I'm a musician and I'm looking to join a band but I have no online presence to show for it (my ultimate goal is to play shows again). I've got a pretty diverse skillset and can play saxophone in any genre-- from straight ahead jazz to punk, from to dixieland to hardcore.
That being said, I'm mostly an acoustic musician, so figuring out recording software has taken me a while. I've finally acquired all the gear to fulfill my vision (see below!), so I can start releasing tracks for CAMINUS. The idiom of my forthcoming EP is Dungeon Synth. For those unfamiliar with the genre, it's kind of like a black metal-inspired soundtrack to a 90s video game that doesn't exist. One of the things that's appealing to me is it's a genre which is typically entirely composed by one person in their bedroom. I created a few tracks in the time it took me to acquire the gear and learn the software... I'll clean them up and release them as an EP soon. Below is my first single! Check back for updates and new songs!
